Dear Family and Friends,
Yesterday the doctor called and gave me my diagnosis. Drum Roll please.....I have not 1, not 2 but 3 different BLOOD CLOT disorders. I have always said go big or go home. 1 of these disorders makes it difficult to get pregnant and the other 2 blood clot disorders cause miscarriages. Crazy, huh. So, next week we go back to the Doctor to talk it over and see where we go from here. From how I understand it I need to take a certain blood thinner when I want to try and get pregnant and then when I get pregnant I need to take some other drugs throughout most of my pregnancy. That is what I know for now. I will let you know more details as I get them next week.
Sincerely,
Me

First Visit
Yesterday Clint and I went to our first visit with a Fertility Specialist. As we arrived at the office I was pretty anxious about the appointment and very emotional about the whole reason we have to be here. It was a bitter sweet moment with the relief that we would get help with having a child but with the grief of losing three babies already.
As we approached the receptionist she was the friendliest and cheeriest lady I think I have ever met. During out conversation we discovered a connection with her son (who is a convert to our church, the LDS church) and his daughter-in-law. Small world. From the get go we felt welcomed and important. We went to sit in the waiting room but before we even got in a chair we were called back. We spent 15 minutes with a nurse and about 15-20 with the Doctor. Everyone just listened and answered all of our questions and gave us all of their attention. We both appreciated how we were treated as in the past we have been treated poorly and as inconveniencing our Doctors with wanting help.
Well, now we have gotten help and our Fertility Doctor ordered every test that there possibly is to discover what is causing these multiple miscarriages. We have no news yet but hopefully within the month we will start to get answers to the plethora of tests. Like I have said before the hardest part with having any kind of fertility issues is the constant WAITING...but we feel hopeful.

Another Sad Day In The Ward/Davis Family
Clint and I have had a very emotional year. We have had a lot of adventures and fond amazing memories but we have also had some tragedies. A year ago we decided we wanted to start a family. If you have read my log in the past you would know that I have had two miscarriages already and it was really hard for me to come to terms with that and to be myself again. Since we have moved to Georgia I have made some real progress. But of course right when things seem to be going well tragedy has to hit again. And it did.
I found out I was pregnant again, and this time I had a hormone supplement to take to help prevent a miscarriage again. Unfortunately, on April 20th, there was nothing I could do. I lost another baby. Clint and I were incredibly happy and felt so blessed to be expecting again. We tried to be realistic and not get our hopes up but who were we kidding. We started planning everything, all over again, for a third time.
We went to the Doctor and found out our baby was behind in development. As soon as she said those words I knew what they meant. But I tried to stay positive because we were going to FL for the weekend to celebrate Clint's birthday. Everything was going well until it all happened. We spent the day crying, watching movies, playing Yahtzee, anything to try and distract us from what was real and what was happening.
I have read many blog about other women who have had several miscarriages and I want to write about mine too in case someone who is struggling comes upon it. It is the hardest thing we have ever been through. It is painful and we are both just so heart broken. And just mad. But it is ok to feel all of those emotions. For me though the hardest part is having to feel these emotions, and go through the grieving process, multiple times. Just when I get back up I get knocked back down. I try to be strong but it's overrated.
So, the next step in our situation is to see a fertility specialist. You think we could just get this started and it would all be easy to set up but it never is. I have to wait for my OBGYN to do tests, to approve it, to refer me, to let my insurance know...etc... I just WANT to see a specialist but I have to wait on others to make it happen and it is not on the top of their list by any means.
Why does it have to be so hard to have a baby? Why, when you can't have a baby, does it have to be so hard to get into a specialist who can, hopefully, give you answers? There is so much waiting and it kills me. I have never been a patient person. For anyone who may be reading this and feeling a little lost too, just know that as hard as the waiting has been and continues to be for Clint and I we still try to look forward to the moment we have a baby. And we know that baby will be more loved than any other baby in the world! It will be worth it...at least that is what I need to keep telling myself to get through the day.

Catch Up On GA Life
We have been living in Beautiful Georgia for almost 3 months now and I have not blogged once since we have been here. The trip started out pretty crazy...we packed up our old apartment into a small trailer and two cars in one day. Thank goodness we had the help of my amazing family! We could not have done it without them.
Then that night we had dinner with Mike, Vauna, Tarbear and the rest of the Davis Gang!! It was so much fun seeing our family and spending the evening with them. As a Bon Voyage we stayed up late laughing, talking and playing this crazy basketball game that my parents bought the guys of the family.
Happy Monday!
Megs was particularly helpful with the trailer action;)
Jadie is the cutest and sassiest girl I know and Love!
Good-Bye to our last Apartment in College...Adios!

It Got Pretty Competitive!
And this picture is just too cute I had to put it on here...I love these guys!
Then we woke up early and started the drive to Colorado! We made our stop at Cory and Kristy's house! Which, we were so sad that we could not have just moved in with them. We had so much fun with a nice meal, a fun and competitive game and treats. Of course, because it always comes with hanging with the Steele family, lots of LAUGHS! Oh, and I forgot to mention that we had our Co-Pilot Marian with us. She was brave and wonderful to take this journey with us across country. Our 2nd day on the road we stopped in Missouri and had a much deserved delicious meal at the hotel. 3rd day we made it to GA and stayed at Clint's cousins house for the night. Finally, 4th day we made it to our lovely new apartment that we love. We unpacked the trailer and cars with the 3 of us in about 5 hours. It was tough, mostly because we are on the 3rd floor. To treat ourselves after we went to a local mexican place and ordered everything off the menu because we were starving!!
And when we got back we made a nice fire and had a Harry Potter Marathon! So much fun!
And of course before Marian left us to go back to Utah we took her to CNN and the Coke Factory! It was a lot of fun. We miss her so much! Can't wait for her to come back and visit again!
This is a picture to show what Clint's job is like:) JK most of the time his job is not this much fun! But he is doing so well and only hears good things about how he is doing. I am so proud of him and how successful he has been at his new job!
Happyy Anniversary to us. 3 years!! I can't believe it! We have been through so much together and have the best memories together! So glad that I married my best friend!
This was the first meal we had after being all unpacked and settled in where I could spend time on a nice meal. We didn't have a table yet so we enjoyed our meal here. I love this man and our home! We just need to recruit our family members over our way! Welcome to Peachy GA!
